Who should use the Tracker?

Everyone can participate. You don’t need to be doing anything special in your yard or garden or have special knowledge before you start. Your privacy is protected and you control your data. You can register any space like a yard, field, balcony, garden project or community garden of any size. The Tracker is compatible with most other garden and conservation programs and is used by a growing network of partners.

No Garden? You can earn Healthy Garden Points by building community, watching wildlife, sharing, helping others, container gardening or planning a healthy garden. These factors are all important in growing healthy neighbourhoods.

You will earn Healthy Garden Points. Plus, the Tracker will give you tips about healthy gardens. When completed, you will unlock unique garden guides, an expert hotline and a network of partners. Your Healthy Garden Points can be redeemed for garden signs, plants or other perks at special events and partner businesses.

The Tracker will guide you through 10 basic features of healthy gardens that you can easily measure. Healthy Garden Points reflect healthy gardening choices linked to the science of biodiversity and healthy landscapes using ecological, social and economic indicators. Whether you are growing one wildflower in a pot, planning a wildlife garden or planting a field of trees, you’ll be creating space that offers food and shelter to a diversity of wildlife, while improving the health of your neighbourhood.
